Students and Staff of the Week at the High School this week: Mrs. Podlogar – Nominated by Breena Dragony I am nominating Mrs. Caroline because She is always willing to help with work and keeps me company. She always makes me laugh and seeing her at school makes my day. Thank you, Mrs. Caroline! Amanda Erickson – Nominated by Mrs. Yuretich Amanda is hardworking and thoughtful. She uses her time well in geometry class to get work done, and get it done right. When unsure of something, she checks her answers, and asks for help when needed, so that she can thoroughly understand the material. When absent, she always does what is needed upon returning, to make sure she makes up any missing work. In addition to meeting her own responsibilities, she also helps classmates whenever possible. Keep up the good work Amanda! Evan Rajala – Nominated by Mr. Boehm Evan has shown an interest in Shakespeare. We are currently watching Hamlet in class, and I appreciate hearing him talk about specific scenes and the language expressed in the movie. Seeing a student have a genuine interest in the overall story is very refreshing. Thank you Evan.

Their artwork will be displayed in the display cases at the front of the school for the remainder of the quarter. The 4th grade winner is Reid Eskelson in Mrs. Yaroscak's class for the patterns that he took the time to create for his mittens and always showing his bluestreak pride in art. The 5th grade winner is Peniamina Brathwaite in Mrs. Rossini's class for the detail he put into his winter village and consistently being focused in art. The 6th grade winner is Sophia Daniels in Mrs. Paradis's class for correctly creating all of the different watercolor techniques and always being a leader in her class. Congratulations artists!
