Thank you so much to the Chisholm Fire Department and fire fighter Dillon Anderson! Kindergarteners had a fun day learning how to be safe in case of a fire emergency and to not be afraid of the firefighters in all their gear. They even got to sit in the driver's seat!:)

Indigenous Day Education for the Vaughan - Stefensrud Students!

Indigenous Day Education for the Chisholm Elementary Students!

Indigenous Day Education for the Chisholm Elementary Students! We learned what Indigenous Day means from our own Chaz Wagner and his Uncle! Students also learned about the history and skills of LaCrosse to the Native American community. It is considered a spiritual game, kind of like a medicine for healing and supporting each other. It's about learning the skill and not about the competition. Thanks for coming to teach us more, we welcome learning about the cultures that surround us!

Morgan Lauzen (Not pictured) – Nominated by Ms. Carroll
Morgan leads with her actions. She is always working very hard at putting 100% into her creativity. Morgan will take her work home to spend some extra time working on her idea. She is a pleasure to have in class! Morgan, the world needs your creativity and leadership- KEEP SHINING!
Tony Perez – Nominated by Mrs. Flack
Last Friday at the pep fest there was a younger girl who got upset with the loud music and started to cry. Her teacher followed behind her to where Tony was seated. Tony instantly went to her, hugged her and told her to take a deep breath. He allowed her to sit by him and he talked to her and settled her down. It was the cutest thing ever as he helped that girl out so much. She was full of smiles afterwards. Thank you.
Cecilia Schmidt – Nominated by Mr. Schafer
Cecilia is off to a great start this school year. She has established herself as a hard worker, utilizes her class time efficiently and most importantly is respectful. Cecilia has also shown an ability to apply historical thinking skills at a high level. Congrats Cecilia!
