Students and Staff of the Week from the High School: Mr. Freitas – Nominated by Lucy Tisdell Mr. Freitas is super nice and is very helpful when I don't understand a note or how to play something. He makes band very fun and is always challenging us with new music. Overall, he is just an amazing teacher! Colton Dragony – Nominated by Ms. Carroll I am nominating Colton Dragony because he always goes above and beyond in my photography class. He is conscientious, a team player, a helper, and an all-around kind and ambitious student! Colton walks the walk every day. Thank you for making a difference Colton! Mason Barto – Nominated by Mr. Johnson Mason comes to class ready to work. He is always willing to help complete extra projects that come into the shop. He is very good at helping others when they need assistance. Keep up the outstanding work! Skye Benson – Nominated by Mrs. Podlogar Skye has been such a great student since the first day of school. Skye always has a smile on her face and works very hard on completing all her work. Keep up the great work Skye.

Congratulations to the Students and Staff of the Week at the High School: Mr. Backstrom – Nominated by Blake Tardy He helps me when I need it, he makes sure to always make our lessons fun. It's very fun talking to him and the jokes he makes. I'm very excited for the rest of the year and our conversations. Nathan Splinter – Nominated by Mr. Stish Nathan has been a high-quality student since I have had him starting back in 7th grade. I now have him in his senior year, and he continues to exemplify the same approach that he has always had. He comes to class ready to do whatever is expected of him daily. I believe that he has a very successful future in front of him. He is always kind and respectful to everyone around him. Keep up the hard work and best of luck to you. Rylee Aultman – Nominated by Ms. Martin Rylee is being nominated for Student of the Week because she is hardworking and does a great job on every assignment. She pays attention to detail and participates in class discussions and lectures. Rylee, I appreciate having you in class! Tony Perez – Nominated by Mr. Deedrick Tony is a joy to have in class. He works hard on his assignments and participates in class. Tony has made significant progress staying on task and following his teachers' instructions. Tony's love of stories is infectious and makes it a pleasure to talk with him.

Artist of the month is given to one individual in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade who shows Bluestreak Pride and is a hard-working artist in the art room! Their artwork will be displayed in the display case outside of the art room for the rest of the month. The 4th grade Artist is Jaxon Dixon. Jaxon took time to create a detailed haunted house and consistently shows bluestreak pride in the art room. The 5th Grade Artist is Mash Galatz. Mash gave a lot of attention to detail when creating his sugar skull, and always works hard in the art room. The 6th Grade Artist is Aria Lappi. Aria created a detailed sketch for her clay ghost project and executed it in 3-d very well. She goes above and beyond on every art project she is assigned. Max DuChene made the All Honors team for the North East Conference for Bowling as well as making one of the All Conference teams which is set to bowl on November 30th at South Town Bowl in Bloomington.
