Attention Chisholm Elementary and High School Students and Parents:
This coming Wednesday (May 24th) we will have a Bluestreak Pride Fundraiser with KONA ICE. They will be on-site from 11:30am - 3:00pm. Cost is $6.00. Bluestreak Pride funds will receive 25% of all sales.
C. Elementary studens need to bring their $6.00 to their homeroom teacher who will collect the money and then give them each a ticket on Wednesday.
HS Students need to bring their $6.00 to Mr. Vake's Room and get their ticket from him.
High School students will be let out a little before lunch to ensure they have time to get their shaved ice and then head to lunch. CE will have their treats after HS lunch is completed.
Our goal is to get every student in both the High School and the Elementary (as well as every staff member) a KONA ICE Cup and make this a great little fundraiser for Bluestreak Pride in both schools for next year.
If you would like to pay for additional students who face financial hardships, those funds can be brought to Mr. Vake.
Thank you for your continuing support!

6th grade took a field trip to MN Discovery Center. We got a tour and did 3 of the events. We created a canoe and hoped it floated, created our own voyageur canoe crest and wove a voyageur bracelet. These were all connected to our social studies chapter on the fur trade.

Thank you for your kindness and willingness to go out of your way assisting students and staff to make it safely into the school building when outside was an ice rink. You are greatly appreciated!
Trenton Jungwirth – Nominated by Mr. Milani
Trenton has really stepped up his performance in math lately. He is participating in class every day, doing well on his quizzes, and helping those around him. Keep up the great work Trenton!
Dustin Wolfe – Nominated by Mr. Johnson (not pictured)
Dustin excels at helping others and problem solving in the small engines classroom. Dustin helped lead a project to rebuild two small engines from spare parts around the shop. Dustin exceeds expectations with the quality of their work!
Chrystalee Oakgrove – Nominated by Mr. Lewis
Chrystalee always shows pride in her academic work, and when she has extra time in classes she uses it to complete homework from other classes without being asked.
Makaela Linn – Nominated by Ms. Jen Waryas
Makaela took it upon herself to sit up front in the bus with the littles (prek-4th) when the staff that usually rides the bus was absent. She made sure they were not too loud, stayed seated in their seats, and made sure they were ready to get off when it was their stop. The bus driver and I appreciated her help.

Calling all 5th-12th grade football players! Hibbing High School is hosting the 2nd Annual Robert Tate Football Camp this summer. The camp will be held on Thursday, June 15th and Friday, June 16th at the New Cheever Stadium in Hibbing. This camp is open to athletes from all over the region. Each day the players will practice/play either offense or defense and switch the following day.
Robert Tate was drafted as a wide receiver by the Minnesota Vikings in 1997. He later switched to cornerback midway through the 1999 season. Tate played nine seasons in the NFL, also playing for the Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Cardinals.
Coach Tate brings with him a number of former players from Division I, II, III, NAIA, and the pros to help coach the kids!
The Robert Tate Football Camp is broken into two sessions, one for younger players and the other for high school athletes.
5th – 8th grade players: 9am – 11:30am.
9th – 12th grade players: 1pm – 4pm
The cost is $75 per player. Scholarships are available. Attached is the flyer with QR code for sign up.
