MISSION STATEMENT

Arrowhead Head Start works in community partnerships to provide comprehensive support to young children and families in need on their journey toward social and economic growth; together we build a stronger future.

Arrowhead Head Start...

• Provides a comprehensive early childhood program for low income families (federal income guidelines apply)

• Serves pregnant mothers, children birth to 5 years old, and their families

• Provides services to children who may have special needs or disabilities

• Offers limited opportunities for families who are over income

• Works through the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) to provide nutritious meals and snacks

EARLY HEAD START

Pregnant mother and children birth through 3

  • Personalized, educational weekly home visits with a licensed teacher

  • Comprehensive health and nutrition services

  • Health education for parents-to-be

  • Identification of developmental benchmarks

  • Parent instruction in supporting their child's on-goin learning

  • Monthly socialization experiences with other families

HEAD START

3-5 years old

  • FREE educational classroom experience 4 days per week (full or part day)

  • Highly qualified and licensed teaching staff

  • Fun learning activities

  • Nutritious meals and snacks in line with USDA requirements

  • Transportation is available in designated areas
